Bakit Letsugas? |
What is Lettuce? There are many different lettuce varieties. The Leaf Lettuce has the most tender varieties, among them Lollo green and Lollo red. The Cos Lettuce familiy is more crispy. Most famous is Romana (the lettuce from which a Mexican restaurant owner created the Cesar's Salad). In cooler countries, Cabbage Lettuce is the most important family. Endivia has a stronger, slightly bitter taste. A delicate and piquant specialty is Arucula which is a lettuce-like herb. |
